Hot? Well I think August has decided to fry most of us! It is currently boiling here and it’s early morning so goodness knows how hot it will be by midday. Are you a lover of the heat? I have to say I’m not. I like it warm but hot weather just tires me. But I promise you I am not complaining. However I would like a thunderstorm just to clear the air. August So what has August been like for you? Apart from being hot I mean. I have started a new hobby which is running – yes I am that crazy person you’ll see out at stupid o’clock.…

    August Vibes

August – already? I know I say this a lot but I think that this year is absolutely flying by. So with a new month comes new plans. I have been working on myself lately and its a work in progress – too much food consumed in the early days of lockdown – I’m sure I’m not the only one am I? Recently I have been undertaking some training recently and am finally beginning to understand how Facebook works. So with this new found knowledge I am sending you all an invite to join me. I would love to make some new connections and am always happy to chat to…

    Health

How is your health? How is your mental health? In my humble opinion the two are inseparable. Healthy mind healthy body so they say! These sure are testing times and we all need a little help with our health and mental health needs. One of the ways that I have been trying to do this is by having daily affirmations. It is important for me to have a strong mind. By repeating these affirmations I find that my mind is starting to open up to new possibilities. Now this is something quite new for me as I have been known to be a negative person. I guess I know where…

Easter Monday – what a strange year so far.

Easter Monday already. How on earth are we already at this time of year? And what a strange year it is! I hope you are all doing well and staying safe. Lockdown is difficult. It is strange. But it is vital so that we can beat this horrible virus together. What are you finding difficult about lockdown? I am struggling with not being able to just pop out and see my family. I am missing work (never thought I would say that!) As a family we are also missing our walks. We love walking and although we can still take the dogs out, and stay socially distanced, we would normally…

    New Hobby!

New hobby alert! My new hobby means that I have started to grow my own fruit and vegetables. My reasoning behind this is manyfold but one reason is knowledge. The knowledge that I will know exactly what went into the growing process. With so many chemicals that our fruit and vegetables are subject to these days I worry. Not only do I worry about my family’s health but I also worry about the impact this could be having on the environment. Then of course the is the transportation issue, reducing our carbon footprint is important and we all need to do what we can to help the world. I have…

    January Blues? Read on

January Blues? Today (20th January) has been described as the saddest day of the year. January is a loooonnnnngggg month! We got paid before Christmas. So adding that into the mix of a 31 day month and the struggle is real. My daughter (Miss Positive) said today “Only another 11 days Mum” and she is right. There are only 11 days left of this month and although we are all feeling the pinch there are plenty of free activities to do at the weekend and lots of money saving ideas out there. If you are feeling sad or depressed then I totally empathise with you. I have suffered with anxiety…

    2020 vision (and a mission)

2020 vision? 2020 vision? No I am not talking about my eyesight. I am talking about the year of course. It is nearly 2020 and I am on a mission. Let me explain. Charity Each year I choose a charity to support and 2020 will be no different. I support charities that I have had personal experience of whether they affect family or friends. With that in mind over the years I have supported (and still do) British Heart Foundation and Diabetes UK. The charity that I have chosen for 2020 is Cancer Research UK. Over the last year my cousin has died from cancer and I have a nephew…
