Vlog Post

Vlogs – what are Vlogs? So a Vlog is a video blog right? I have never even thought about creating one of these but apparently they are very popular so I thought I would give it a go!

Now this has not been without a LOT of issues! Some people have no problem with Vlogs but I, it seems, am not one of them.

First of all I needed to choose a topic – well gardening seemed to be a good plan as I have not shared much about that with you.

So off I go into the poly tunnel and take a video on my phone. So far so good. Next issue getting video off the phone and onto the computer.

Let me tell you this has caused frustration, stress and nearly tears but hallelujah finally I managed to get it onto my laptop.

So should be easy I think to my self – simply upload the video onto this page and hey presto.

Well the computer said NO.

I couldn’t see a way around it. I was sad, very sad as I really wanted to get the video to you.

Then an AHA moment happened. Why not use YouTube? After all my 9 year old son can use it so surely I can.

So armed with not much knowledge of these things I attempted to upload the video.

Now let me just state for the record – I love where I live. What I don’t like is the lack of internet connection. It’s terrible. We struggle to get into the internet at the best of times so this was not going to be an easy feat.

I tethered my phone to help, no joy. I got up at 4.45am just to try and get some bandwidth, no joy. By 9 am I was ready to throw the towel in and just describe to you the wonderful gardening achievements that I have experienced. But I am no quitter.

At 10am I decided to have a break. So I went out to see my daughter who was happily riding her pony. I left the computer uploading.

So after spending a couple of hours out with her and having a wonderful time I came back to find it had all worked! Oh the joy!!!

So if you would like to take a look, and I really think you should after the amount of effort I put in, here is the link
